Notification not working

I have preferences set to give me notifications on comments on posts I created or posted in.
I get no notification emails ….When I do login, at top right there will be notification of alerts on the ‘bell’ icon.
just nothing coming to email

The mods have been trying to get it remedied with no success as of this point.
