So, after chasing down an acceleration problem, I think my 1976 YarCraft/Johnson 70 HP setup and I have finally come to an understanding; I don't treat it like a brand-new powerboat, and she will make sure the family and I have a good time. Here are pictures of our outing this weekend where we did nothing but hang out at an island, grill up some sausages, and ride tubes all day long.
I did learn some things on this outing, though:
1. Be very careful when trying to adjust SmartTabs in the water.
2. Get spare lockpins for said SmartTabs in case you do drop one.
3. Stainless Steel prop DOES make a HUGE difference.
4. Better Cornering trumps more horsepower for a fun ride on a tube!
