One would think a company would test a new website before rolling it out. If Iboats can't manage to fix this fiasco many are simply going to head over to one of the other dozens of forums out there that works.

If you would have taken the time to read through some of the various threads about the issues, you would have seen the software was extensively tested by many on the moderation team before they decided to do the upgrade and things went south once it went live not because errors on iboats part.

+1 . . despite the software issues, iBoats forum is still the better place to be (unless you are a saltwater fish'er and have a center console boat . . . then it is THT)

Nobody likes the software situation, but the power of the 'people' of this forum . . . members, moderators, and administrators . . . will prevail. :thumb:

I'm in for the long haul too.. Won't miss anyone who chooses to leave. They can go anywhere they like. IMO they can also stop announcing their intent to leave.

I have ran several online forums over the years and still to this day don't understand the "I am going to leave" announcements, if unhappy with something or someplace I just leave with no fanfare, no announcement, I just go!

You think we have problems now? This is nothing compared to what would happen if iboats tried to move the forums to an entirely different software platform.
