That sounds bad. Hope you didn't have one of those boats.

Good thing no one got burned.

That stinks. Lucky no one was hurt. Hope the lake can be cleaned up from all the fuel, etc.

Bummer, but glad no firefighters or boat owners were hurt.

That's rough ... 'round here that's like half a neighborhood burning down the way folks live out there. Glad no one was injured.

They do burn! We had a big marina fire, here in Portland OR about a month ago. It got hundreds of boats.

It's like living in a condo. You gotta hope your neighbors are smart enough not to burn the place down.

Yep ^^^

I recently read numerous posts elsewhere asking if open flames, chracoal grills and firepits were permitted on the wooden docks. Despite the No Open Flame rules at most docks, they were being regularly ignored and numerous responders said they'd done it for decades, never had anyone complain or say anything about it, nor ever had any problems doing it.

Then someone sets a boat/dock on fire

I can imagine once one boat goes up and fuel starts to burn on top of the water.... Many more boats to come! Very scary!

At my marina, where we are all owners of our own slips, we are allowed to have gas BBQs if they are attached to the boat. No BBQs are allowed on the dock at all and no charcoal BBQs are allowed at all. Our docks are synthetic on metal framing...no wood at all.

My neighbor a few doors down from my house burnt a good portion of his wood deck with a charcoal BBQ. No common sense.

Been involved with extinguishing a few boat fires ... they are not fun. My "favorite" was the boat we pushed out from the marina and a jet boat owner thought he would attempt to put it out by raising his jet and blowing water on it ... pushing the boat right back to the GAS docks! We were able to get it out without an explosion or it sinking, but it was hairy for a while ... glad everyone got away uninjured in the boat/dock fire!
