Have you fished Eucha yet this year? Any luck? How about Lake Hudson, is that a good lake?

Re: Northern Oklahoma Lakes

I am more north central (Stillwater Area). I fish Sooner, Keystone, Carl Blackwell, Kaw, and sometimes Grand and and Oolagah. I have been to hudson several years ago. I remember it being a good lake, but crowded in the summer. (like all lakes in Oklahoma). Eufaula is a great lake, but I rarely get down there.

Right now the crappie seem to be staging up in the 8 foot area near drops and cover, but I have caught a few very shallow too. Temps two days ago were in the 50-52 range (surface). I suspect with the near 80 degree temps this week it will get the crappie moving again.

Then it's bass season. I might try Hybrid fishing up at sooner this summer, but I have never done that so I'll have to learn the ropes.

Nate, I take it you are a fireman? I am with the Stillwater PD. Liked the website link..... NEVER FORGET!

Don't go to Cushing Lake (aka to me as Lake Cast Alot have never caught a fish there) have you been up to Boomer or down to stroud or Chandler/Bellcow? Lone Chimney was supposed to be good but alot of timber. I also heard Pawnee lake is ok

Jim, I just wrote you a long winded reply and it looks like I screwed up somehow since it didn't post.

Summary:

Cushing Lake - I agree, probably won't be back there.

Boomer - Good for bass, crappie (but very small)

Bell Cow - Where the h*%$? Didn't even know it was there. I'll have to get down there.

Where do you work out of? I'm with SPD.

Well, I'll be. I need to bring you 137 to look at (horrible squeak). We can talk fishing then.
