My Norcold (DE-351D 1995 ) In my boat it was running continuously without cycling off as it normally does. (on 110v shore power) I noticed that even though the compressor was running and I could hear the coils tingling. It was not cooling very well and beginning to defrost. I also noticed it was slightly louder than normal too. It was not cooling at all or very weak. It seemed to cool a little bit better on When I switched it over to 12v the next day. Finally it would not cool at all on either 110v or 12v even though compressor ran normally on either 12v or 110v. I was told that it was not worth fixing so I bought a new Norcold DE0751B
Now here's some more info: Just for kix I plugged in my old Norcold on 110v in the garage. it seems to work fine. I put a therometer in freezer section with the thermostat on 5 (1-5) it stays about 23* in there. Cycles on and off when needed. Keep in mind this thing would not cool on 12v or 110 even though the compresssor worked on either. I am going to leave on all weekend to see what happens. Any input would be great.
