NOLA Northshore buddy needed

Hi!

We moved to Mandeville, LA in November and have questions about the local boating area. Hoping to find some locals that know the area well that don't mind answering questions.

Beautiful weather this weekend, we were able to take our boat out for the first time in the Tchefuncte. We moved from up north, so this was a big plus!!!

We have 3 young children and enjoy watersports.

We are interested in watching the river parade next weekend, and want to know if we can do so from our boat...not finding much in relation to spectators online. Also need to know deal with boating in the Lake. We ran into some shallow water today so turned around and went back to the river.

If the lake you are reffering to is Maurpas then yes it get very shallow.At the mouth of Blind river to the north there are sandbars close to the bank.I ride in blind river,amite and the diversion.If you have questions about these waterways I'll try to help you.
