I have a 1987 bayliner Capri with the 2.3l ford engine.and the omc sterndrive.
Question is: does this boat have a cooling alarm. if so, where would it be located?

If there's a temp switch, it'll be in another port near the temp sender, on the T-stat housin',....
A buzzer might be under the dash, if there was an alarm,...
