Well then, here you go!<br /><br />A couple of days ago a good friend of mine called up and said "hey, wanna go fishin'?" It was late but I said "Sure"<br /><br />We headed out up the river and he tells me that he has found a new little creek, but it's tough to get into, as it is off the main river with no cut or channel leading into it. Well, this kinda puzzled me, how are we gonna get in there
No problem, we go off-roading in his boat. He points the boat at a spot in the edge of the river between two trees and into the woods we go. "Keep yer eyes peeled fer spiders!" he calls to me as we plow into a section that is river-bank when it doesn't rain every day. Anyway, with me swatting wildly with a little paddle at anything and everything that looks like a spider, spider web, funny looking bug, etc., he navigates us through the woods to a little oxbow lake. It was sure pretty. We fished untill it got dark, which was about 30 minutes, and he said we better get out of here while we could still see. So we secured our gear and off he headed us back in the wood line and out the other side into the river. I was doing real good swatting at the spiders and what-not till I got hung up in a blood thirsty, sticker encrusted vine. Alls well that ends well, I managed to stay in the boat and hemorhage quietly on the way back to his dock. <br /><br />Seriously, I had a real good time
Can't wait to do it again
