i got the new impeller put in today. it went in easily. started the motor up and it started peeing almost instantly. is that how it is supposed to be??

yeah that's how its supposed to be in a perfect world lol

but when i put mine in it wasn't like that at all i had a hard time lining the water tube up and the shifter mechanism then holding it and starting a nut without it slipping down.

Some people have all the luck lol

Now hope their isnt heat damage inside of the cylinders, like a broker ring.

Yeah guys i think im screwed... It started right up i
Ran it for like thirty mins. It ran good then it just stopped
Now i cant get it running

well it might have been my fault I was adjusting my idle speed and low speed mix screw on carb and a puff of white smoke came out from near the fuel pump...I killed it

Dont give up hope yet their tuff motors. A base setting on most of the carbs is 1 1/2 turns out from lightly seated, these motors like to run rich so yes it will smoke its built in bug smoke .

thank you for the encouragement my friend. ive used this motor before and never seen this happen it was weird like a muffled explosion and then smoke....muffled like a gasket blew out and it came from a place where it doesn't usuially smoke. this happened after I made the adjustments. on the low speed mix I backed off about 1-1/2 from lightly seated and the idle while in neutral and throttle twist grip on slow... I backed screw off cam follower the tightened it til it just touched plus half a turn... and I actually went no more than anther quarter turn because it ran better a little richer, I shut it off. started it back up turned idle know down and it happened(smoke) I haven't been able to get it started since. it would start cold on the 3 or 4 pull now nothing? I don't know where to begin
