Re: No Used Outboards Anywhere!
The best way to get a good deal on an outboard and/or boat (not the trailer more on that later) is drive around in what had been a very nice area to live, but now is aged some. The houses were not low end so the toys are better and more money was spent on maintinance. The boats in these areas are now 10 or more years old and not used much, if at all anymore. Just look for the boats with the most grass growing up around them, one reason the boats are not used anymore is the the trailer rotted away. Even good boats can come on some cheap (junk) trailers. the owner won't spend the money to buy a new one, so it just sits. Go to the house during the day when the husband isn't home, the wife will be pleased to discuss moving the eye sore next to the house. She will pressure the husband to get rid of it, or he may not be in the picture anymore and she may sell it cheap on the spot. If they want you to take the boat too, offer less money. I have done this to get many boat parts. I bought an eight year old 90HP for $400 bucks doing this and my current jet boat for $1,000 (boat motor and trailer).
It's fun.

Good luck
