Here's what has gone down with 2012 Merc Verado 225. Put her away last fall and when backing into shed, I wanted to get her in a little farther so took my motor to trailer, transom saver bar off, lowered motor down but not all the way, prob., 3" of cylinder showing (85% of stroke). As I think about it, this might be what has me in trouble, oil bleeding by on rams? Go to hook on this week and both the up/dwn button on motor and the one on throttle/shifter, do nothing, not even a short grunt, nothing. Battery is fully charged, motor will turn over with key, been through all fuses I can find in boat and motor. Its like a sensor is holding it out as I got nothing the first time I tried, not like it tried and popped a fuse or a weak connection in a harness plug. This boat and motor is like brand new, purchased last fall with 20hrs on it. Can't trailer to a mechanic as motor is too low to risk. Appreciate any ideas. I see there is a valve that it says I can turn out (3) times and lower motor manually but wondering if I can then try to tilt motor with some huskies helping me.

Taking a shot - Did you disconnect the battery last fall?

Plugged in onboard chargers multiple times, battery seems full power, cranks motor over great.

Got it! checked a little more and one of the batteries had gotten too low for onboard charger as it won't kick in if batt. is below 4v. charged that batt. up, presto, tilt works.
