No temp

I have a 1987 2.3 OMC.

Just got my boat running and in the water for the first time this year. But when the engine was warming up the temp gauge started to creep up to normal then dropped right down to 100 (or below) and stayed there. So I shut it down let it sit for a few mins. Started it back up and it did the same thing.

Any ideas?

I answered my own question. Shredded impeller, wasn't getting any water at all.
