I have the 2006 Nisson outboard that had a locked up fuel pump in the vapor separator. I replaced the high pressure pump with an aftermarket one because from Nissan you have to buy the whole vapor separator to get the pump. $700. So after doing so, I still can't get the pump to run on it's own without jumping it directly from the battery. The motor will run if I do that. It won't run if I let the computer control it through the wire harness to the pump even though it's showing voltage at the connector to the pump. (15 volts while cranking engine). The ground wire to the pump also shows continuity to engine. Is there something else anyone can suggest to check out this problem? Thank you in advance for any help!
