No Sport Trak on my 04 Fisherman 1700

My 04 Fisherman doesn't have the handy Sport Trak rail. What have some of you done for rod holders, etc. that don't have this feature. Have any of you mounted an after market rail on the top or inside wall of the gunwale? I'd like to mount it on the inside vertical wall. Any advice or suggestions would be great! Thanks in advance. Here's a pic of my inside gunwale.

I wish they offered the sport trak on all boats. I just got my new Lund and looking for a way to mount them to. Cabela's sell some that have almost a flat
plate, to mount to a flat surface. But looks like you have to drill about a one inch hole.
