Re: no spark!!!

Did you go get the manual we told you to get? If you don't understand the language we use to advise you, you need to take your boat to a good wrench.

Red sky at night. . .
JB :)

Ouch

Troubleshooting electrical problems requires very specific information on how your OB is wired. If you know your way around these types of systems, you could trace it out, but I don't think that is the case. This is one of the reasons you need a manual. A short time leafing though it will familiarize you with the major systems of your OB. Often you can get one at the library.

The ignition switch is the thing you put the key into. The kill switch is the thing you put the u-shaped thing on at the end of your lanyard. It is there in case you are thrown and it is hooked to you, it will kill the engine. This switch will disable the ignition circuit.

The trigger is under the flywheel and creates a pulse from magnets mounted on the underside of the flywheel.

Solenoid or relays (the starting circuit) should not comes into play here since your motor is spinning, just not catching.

Without familiarity of the YOUR electrical system (insert knowledge from manual here), there is not much we can help you with..

The people here are more than willing to help you..

The kill switch can also be a flip switch with on - off or run - stop.

Also check for the obvious broken wire or gently tug on the wires as they could be broken inside of their covering or at the terminal end under a rubber sleeve.

Just my 2 cents. ;)
