No spark!

Dear Forum, Every once in a while I have to go through this ritual to start my 90hp Mercury outboard, 3 cyl. The serial number is: 0B302485. The engine turns over beautifully but has no spark to any of the cylinders. For whatever reason, at times it has spark and will start and run fine all day. Then after sitting for a day or two or a week or two I am unable to start the engine because NO SPARK. Im lost, obviously! I checked the stator and the red and blue wires ohm as if there is an open between these two wires. The ohms between the red wire and ground ohm out correctly. I disconnected the black/yellow kill switch wire from the switchbox and still no spark. Any direction with this motor would be great and if anyone has further checks I can do I'd appreciate it!

Thanks

Re: No spark!

Update, I checked the wires from the trigger and they all checked out fine, all ohmed to the blk/white wire around 1260 ohms. Each to ground was infinity or open. The blue wire from the stator ohmed as open to ground and the red wire ohmed out at 116 ohms to ground, book says that 90-140 is normal. When I ohmed the red and blue wire from the stator they ohmed out as open. Does this sound like the stator is bad?
