No spark, strange continuity readings

Hi, any Evinride/Johnson experts care to weigh in here?

I have a 90 HP carbed Johnson, Year 2000 V4: Replaced ignition components from plugs to stator due to no spark (stator was melted), still no spark. Magnets looked OK.

Disconnected the main wiring harness plug, jump started the solenoid and got spark.

Tested ignition switch for continuity with main wiring harness disconnected, in off, on and start positions. All looked OK.

Tested ignition switch for continuity with harness connected: In off position got continuity between kill switch (black-yellow wire) and ground (black-white) -- this is correct.

Also in off position got continuity between ground and key-on power (purple) and sporadic continuity between +12V from the battery (red-purple).

Continuity from the engine-side harness plug to the power pack and battery to key switch through the solenoid seems OK.

Only question is the yellow wire from the engine-side of the harness to the neutral safety switch. Ohms test seemed suspect, had low reading with key off.

Anyone have any suggestions?
