Really confused here, had no spark so I check the connections on the switch box, moved one of the connections and then had a spark.
So I decided to remove the flywheel and check the connections to the stator and trigger plate, found that they were both connected via unopenable boots. Is there a way of rewiring these? Mainly the stator wire had a crack.
Put new connections on at the switchbox end, No Spark!
Tightened the switchbox bolts ( the ones that just hold the box in place ), which were tight already only turned a fraction of an inch ......... Had a Spark!
Checked the voltage output and ohm reading of the stator and trigger plate, both correspond with the manual.
Sparking away at the moment......
