OK guys I am at my witts end on this one. I have been through the adults only section and followed the list in the merc service manual and nothing.

I have a 84 Merc 3.0l with the delco dist. and mallory electronic ign. kit.
I have no spark. I have 12V at the coil and 9v when cranking but no spark.
good plugs, good cap, and good rotor. I have swapped to a new coil sam issue both coils check good from center post to +/-.
What am I missing I know there is something simple and stupid that I have overlooked.
This seams like a fairly simple setup and I can't figure it out. Tommorow I am going to try to put the points back on and see what happens.

Thanks for all the help.

Re: No Spark help please

Disconnect the shift interrupt switch and see if you get a spark.

Tried this last night after finding it in an old post and had no luck with it.

Would a bad pickup on the electronic ignition set up cause no spark from the coil to dist. cap?
