No Spark at 2 Plugs

I have a 3 cylinder 1990 Force 90. Cylinders #1 and #3 don't get a spark. I've swapped the coils around and determined that the issue isn't the coils (all 3 of them will spark if they're wired for cylinder #2). Cylinder #3 is on its own powerpack and #1 shares a powerpack with #2. Any suggestions?

Double check your connections on the ignition terminal strip first. Could be the stator winding that feeds the CD module for #1 & 2 cylinders. Should read between 680 - 850 ohms on the blue yellow wires from the stator. Could also be the CD module itself. You can swap the CD Modules to test. Make sure you mark the wires as to where they go before disconnecting them.

Can I check connection that without pulling the flywheel?

Also, does it matter how the black wires from the CDI modules and ignition coils are mounted? I get continuity if I touch any of the studs that hold the modules/coils to the board and I touch a grounded location except for the stud to which both black wires from the CDI modules are fastened.

Re: No Spark at 2 Plugs

Ignore the part where I asked about the black wires. I found out that the stud they were mounted to wasn't grounded (even though all the other identical studs were...weird), so I moved them to a different spot.

I checked the resistance between the two stator output leads and it was within spec. I also checked and there was no continuity from either wire to ground. I also checked the resistance of all three coils and it was within spec (again, I'm fairly sure these are good since I put them all on cylinder #2 and they worked).

Now I need more details on checking resistance from where to where from pnwboat's post and more suggestions on what else to test. I still haven't swapped the two CDI modules to see what happens.

Thanks!

My solution is to sell it and buy a newer boat.
