Here's the situation: 1974 70hp Evinrude 3cyl. Recently replaced stator and rectifier. Both tested bad on resistance and output tests and the stator was dripping varnish. After replacing both, I now have no spark at all. I have disconnected the kill switch at the power pack and still no spark. I have tested charge coil output and it is up to spec.

I have not yet tested the sensor coil output or powerpack output. The sensor coils are on spec for resistance. What should the voltage output be for the power pack? Sensor Coils?

Also following the advice on another page I checked for DC voltage on the kill wire going to the power pack. With the key off I get 0 volts. Key on - about .15-.3 volts. If I disconnect the red cannon plug I still get voltage. could this still be a key switch problem or is the key switch fine?

Will this kind of voltage fry the power pack?
Where should I check to get rid of this stray voltage?

Thanks
