No spark after replacing the voltage regulator

I have a 94 Johnson 200 Ocean Runner that was running OK but, was not charging. I replaced the Voltage regulator and now I have no spark at all. I have double checked all the wires and cleaned them all. I'm open for any ideas you may have. Thanks in advance...

Disconnect that new rectifier and retest for spark.

If it sparks, then replace the rectifier, again.

Ever heard the phrase, "Defective new part."

Thanks, I went out this morning and double checked the wiring and it all looked correct. Tried to start the engine and it did not even get to turn over 2 times before she started right up. I suppose it could have been low battery voltage. I did have the battery on charge all night. Anyway it's running and charging like a top. Thanks again..
