A FRIEND GAVE ME A 1990 YAMAHA WAVERUNNER FOR A SPARE AT THE CABIN... IT WILL START FOR 5 SECONDS THEN QUIT AND WILL NOT HAVE ANY SPARK FOR HOURS OR DAYS. ANY HELP OUT THERE A NEW CDI BOX 400+

i doubt its the box if so it works or it dosent probably bad ignition wires change them first because the rule is cheepest and easiest things first when applying the wag system,, WILD AZZ GUESS, that rule dosent apply when you know whats wrong obviously. also look for loose ground wires another possability for sure

i have the same problem no spark have tested the coil its good and the switch its good i dont no about the pulse coils or the cdi but i had weak spark then none does ant one know about where all the grounds are

have you tested both sides of the start/stop switch? with a ski that age, the stop side could be causing your problem.

plug wires would also be suspect. you can either buy a new coil with attached wires, or send your current coil to John at www.jetskisolutions.com and he can replace the wires for you. His price is reasonable for that service.
