I have a 1987 220 aeto motor that I bought off an old guy who needed it gone. We checked the compression and it was excellent. I did not check for spak when I bought it because that usually isn't a problem. Now it is a problem. Does anyone know what the resistance is on stators for this motor. Can I disable computer to troubleshoot. Can this harm the electricals? All the coils hve good resistance, the book says. The Yam guy up here said to unplug harness and crank over to check if my kill switch is bad, not so lucky. Does the stator have any obvious appearance flaws when toasted? Could it be the CDI,control box,or all of the above.<br />MM<br />
