my first time on here so I hope i do this correctly. I pulled my lower unit of my 1969 Mercury 65 Hp and replaced the waterpump all good. I backed the boat in at the ramp and ran to make sure it pumped water which it did. However Ihad the gear shifter in netural but the prop was ingaged ine drive. Idon't have reverse or netrual any more? Ipulled the lower unit and the prop turns clock wise but locks counter clock wise. the male stem is up about 2" which slides up into the motor. Is there an issue in the area which I can chck?
