No power?

I basically bought a boat from a guy that didn’t start because the starter was done. 2007 Monterey 196 5.0l….So I replaced it this morning…the boat hasn’t been run for the last year (winterized) …I had it turning over, pumping the throttle but it wouldn’t fire. And I slowly was drawing out the battery. So I stopped as it started to make a hum noise….and then tried again and now there’s zero power to the starter stereo and all my gauges. Although my blower and bilge and all lighting works…. I even put a brand new battery in it! I checked all the little fuses under the helm and they all appear to be fine. One of the 2 circuit breakers is now broken I believe? 🤷🏼‍♂️ So I will order that part, but is it not strange that I still have power to bilge, blower, and all lights.
Any tips…

Clean the battery cable connections at the engin, and the block and starter
