I have a 50hp Mercury. The engine sounds great, idles nicely. In reverse, plenty of power(with no throttle). In forward, I move the throttle up and the rpms don't increase until the throttle is 3/4 of the way max. The engine still sounds great but will only go about 5mph. I tried to adjust the throttle but it made the idle to high. HELP!!

Re: no power

When you adjusted the throttle was the motor in gear and in the water ?
