2002 Ski Centurion with 350 MAG MPI tow Sport SN OM310754. Engine was running and we put it in the water it died and now there is no power to the ECM (cannot get a reading) and with the key in the on position the instrument cluster does not come on, the warning buzzer does not sound and the fuel pumps do not kick on. Any help would be greatly appreciated. We did check the ignition switch and it seems to work as it should in on and start positions.
Thanks

Hi there, There should be some fuses and relays found in the general location of the ECM. The fuses will be covered by a cap/cover You'll want to start with checking the fuses first then try swapping the relays around to see if something seems to change while trying to start the engine.

Ensure that your safety lanyard kill switch at the control shifter is in the On/Run position.

Also you may want to inspect (and wiggle) the main wiring harness cannon plug at the engine. The plug looks like these, http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=...ug&FORM=HDRSC2

We're going to be moving your topic down into the correct sub-forum titled Mercury MerCruiser Sterndrives & Engines for best fit as this is the Mercury & Mariner Outboards sub-forum.

The fuse cover should look similar to item number 15 while the relays are 16,

see if there is another lead coming off the +battery post that has a inline fuse holder.usually it sits on top of the battery box.
