last season my motor started stuttering at WOT and it would run around 5000rpm fine but not 7000(max rpms) like it used to. i took it in to the boat repair place a few weeks ago and he cleaned out my carbs. he said they were full of a green jelly.this cost me $500 bucks when he estimated around $250. I just put my boat out on the water today for the first time this season and im lucky to get 10mph out of it with the throttle down the whole way. the motor isnt stuttering and the rpm guage says 7000 rpm but i dont that the gauge is working right. the motor deffinately doesnt sound like its running at WOT. i putted around for awhile hopeing maybe it wasnt getting enough gas or it needed to warm up or something and 2 times i got it to run faster but not like it used to but as soon as i slowed down it went back to having no power.

What could cause this?
i installed a hydrofoil on it yesterday but i doubt that has anything to do with it.
needless to say im very p***ed off and the boat mechanic is goign to hear about it on monday. My boat ran better before he "fixed" it!

The maximum WOT rmp for your motor is 5500. Assuming the wrench properly cleaned your carbs, you may need to check your fuel pump, and the fuel delivery, from tank, filters, connectors, lines for restrictions and or air leaks.
