no power and 35 mph top speed gp1200

I have a 99 yamaha gp1200. I have just replaced the fuel filter and rebuilt the carbs. The waverunner runs perfect on land but will not rev past 5000 rpm and seems to have no power on the water. Please help!!!!

Nevermind, just compression checked and one cylinder has no compression. Sounds like a complete engine rebuild to me.

yup the oil line probably fell off and hatched a cylinder,, really sad that yamaha uses crappy oil lines and cable ties to hold them on.. island racing has a kit to replace those and prevent the problem from occuring.
