I have a 1996, 90 hp, 90 degree, Johnson outboard. I decided to run premix fuel and have disconnected the VRO system. The oil line has been disconnected, and plugged at the oil pump. The two leads from the VRO oil tank are disconnected at the engine. Occasionally while cruising, the "no oil" light comes on along with the warning horn sounding. As I throttle down to an idle, the light goes off, and the horn stops <br />sounding. I would greatly appreciate thoughts on this problem.

You have to unplug the harness from the VRO pump.
