I have a 1994 crownline 225ccr with 5.7mercruiser carbed, the last day out took on some water and bilge was not working, still looking into where the leak is but that is a whole different issue. Winterized the boat, changed oil, etc, everything was running fine. Got it out this spring and oil pressure gauge is reading 0 pressure and alarm is going off. Planning on hooking a gauge up this weekend, any other thoughts?

Try a mechanical gauge first. Likley just a bad Guage.

Highly unlikely that a bad gauge will toot the alarm.

A bad oil pressure sender or worse, no pressure caused by a few things. Use the mechanical gauge first.

There is a pressure sensor and a pressure sender. no oil pressure indicated AND the alarm is definitely bad. Whats the dipstick read?

Winterized the boat, changed oil, etc,
Could it be that the oil was drained but never refilled for the winter and never checked at start up .HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

zero oil on the gauge and the alarm is one pressure sensor and one pressure switch both telling you you dont have oil pressure.

no need to plumb a mechanical gauge at this point

pull the dipstick and make sure you have oil in the motor.

did you start the motor after you changed it? if you simply changed the oil and then thru on an oil filter and left it all winter, the oil pump would have lost its prime over the winter. then when you started it, it ran without oil.

or did you drain the oil and not put any in. if it sat all winter without oil and was started dry, your going to have to pull the motor and at a minimum replace the bearings because they are gone.
