No oil light on Johnson Fitch 150 1997

Hi, I just installed a 1997 Fitch 150 on my bass boat. It came off of a hydrostream and I had all the controlles and wiring for it. It ran good on the hydrostream, but after I switched it over the "no oil" light comes on after about 30 seconds after I start it. It also misses and sputters when the light comes on. I mixed oil in the gas in case the oil injection didnt work right away. Am I supposed to blead the oil injection or something? Please Reply.

yep, the bulb is pumped til oil flows out (into a can) , only then does it get connected.
