I just installed 2 new gauges white sportsman trim & fuel lights don't work in either gauge. then I hooked both to a battery NO LIGHTS!! Put other gauge light in and that worked. How do I know what voltage the bulbs are. these are (PC 161 bulbs) that don't work. maybe they are 24v????<br />This is turning into a real pain in the #^&&*!!

Re: NO LIGHTS

I hooked them with jumpers straight to the battery. I checked them with a meter and they were not open. just seemed like they are for a/c not d/c.

Re: NO LIGHTS

I had a hard time figuring out a problem with some of my teleflex blue vector gauges, they came new out of the box this way. It is kind of hard to explain in words but I'll try, hopefully your gauges are the same. If you twist and remove the little bulb housing from the back of the gauge and then pull the bulb out of the plastic housing and look inside the little housing. In my gauges there are two little gold-colored pieces of metal for each half of the bulb and they wrap around the base of the bulb. 2 out of my 9 new gauges the bulb was between the gold metal piece and the plastic housing for the bulb, instead of between the two metal pieces. When I put it together it looked right and felt right, but didn't work. I kinda had to force the bulb between those two little tabs when I put the bulb back in.
