Ive always been been around boats but never had to maintain one or work out the problems. i bought a 84 lowes catcher pro with a 50 merc . took it out today with a buddy for a test run and look for any issues . got to the lake took a few turns of the key to get it running but once it got running , can like a top with no issues. drove it to 4 or 5 spots probably went about 2 miles. we get to the last spot and stay for about 2 hrs . get ready to head to the ramp , and the motor would turn over but wouldnt fire. so i tryed a few more times. the last time i held the key for probably 15 secs. i tryed one more time and got NOTHING. the electric choke wouldnt click or anything . well we start trolling back and i have my buddy try to choke it every now and again. well have way back to the ramp my buddy got the choke to click once but that was all .. sorry for long thread but any help or suggestions would be appreciated
