no fuel at carb

just got boat has sat for 2 years guy ran it in his driveway before i got it. he and i test drive on the lake for half an hour, it started a little rough but seemed to run good. family and i took it to lake started a little hard, ran ok for an hour the would die in neutral but restart on first turn then not at all, killed battery in process, got towed got home charged batt. would crank but not start took off flame arestor and lookd in carb while pumping throttle didnt see any gas started traceing backward water seperator looks brand new (did not remove) fuel pump has bulb on side says replace pump if fuel in bulb (there was none) lines to tank looked good tank looks good seal looks good shot gas out vent when i filled it up (so is good as in not clogged?) went looking for fuses found 5 or 6 in a panel one labled pump sw (is fuel or bilge?) 4 or 5 behind ignition and 2 more in the cluster going down side toward engine all looked ok (i need a volt meter, affordable suggestions?) this is all very new to me are there more fuses somewhere fuel pump should breifly make same noise when key turned to power yeah? it doesnt. whats next or what did i miss or do out of order please help have read many posts both CLASSICGLASS and IBOATS and cant find anything specific to mine. sorry bout run on sentances and number of questions but would like to be back on the lake soon (who doesn't)
cant find hour meter do i have one? where?

I would start by removing the filter that will tell you if you have fuel that far.


Is it at all possible you are out of gas.

You could try using a different fuel supply. Remove the hose from the fuel pump that comes from the tank connect a lice of fuel line there put the other end in a 5 gal can see if it pics up fuel.

turned up idle poured some gas in to re prime (bowl was empty) and she fired right up set the idle to 7 and added some sea foam to the tank and she purrs like a dream.

This year my boat was not running after winter layup, no fuel. I pulled the fuel pump and it appears like it just rusted up and stopped working. Some oil in the mechanism and manual movement freed it up and no problems since.
