I melted a stator and rectifier on a '95 115. I replaced the rectifier and stator. But, when I crank it, I get no sign of trying to start. The troubleshooting started with checking all connections, verifying cranking voltage from battery and taking ohm readings of the new stator and trigger.

Here's the stator reading, trigger reading and spec from SELOC manual...

Would these numbers prevent even a sign of starting?

On your trigger, you need to check purple to white and then brown to white/black or white. Both readings should be between 800-1400 ohms. If either falls out that range, replace trigger. To really check things properly, you need a DVA and need to check voltage on those circuits while cranking and hooked up to switch box. You can follow diagnostics for it here: http://www.cdielectronics.com/support/
