I have No fire on a 2003 Tohatsu 25hp 4 stroke model MFS25A. Pulse coils are not reading correct ohm so this is my issue? Do all 3 go out together or did i just get a wrong ohm reading? And is this my problem service manual (p# 003210530) seem a little hard to figure out. Any ideas, Thanks

When in no fire, was stop switch lanyard connected ? By 3 pulse coils you mean all ectricals located under flywheel ? Are you using a analog or digital tester ?

Yes the lanyard is connected and then disconnected wires to bypass it like in manual. Yes all 3 coils under flywheel. And I have both type of meter.

Better is troubleshooting each individual component with a analog meter than can read DVA volts. For that will need volts specs for pulser & exciter coils, the third is just a alternator to charge battery. Test while pulling starter rope or with electrical starter.

Sorry, only have electrical specs for 2 strokes OB's.

What method did you use to check the resistance of the pulser coils? Did you run the ohm meter checks on the CD?
