Does pushing the key while starting do anything? It sat for 8 months now it wont start. It has 2 prime starts and I've verified they both work. I hung a new fuel pump, soaked all 4 carbs in a gallon of gum out carb cleaner and it just wont start without ether. I've tried the air fuel screws at 3 1/2 turns, 2 turns, 4 turns, all different amount of turns. I dont know how to check the diaphragm assy that the schematic says is actuated by the "choke rod" , it has 4 vacuum lines that go to each carb. There is fresh gas and the bolls are full. All it did was sit . Does anybody have any suggestions? Thanks in advance

did you check for spark?
take it to a real marine tech.

I hope you took the carbs completely apart before soaking them

Prime start should be automatic adding extra fuel when cold, pushing the key in does nothing.
but I am not familiar with your motor.
might need to get a service manual for it. it will have specs and all sorts of procedures.

need to make sure all passages are clear for that extra fuel to be getting where it needs to go

will it keep on running once you start it with starting fluid?

I cant afford to take it to a shop. Carbs and prime starts were taken apart and all gaskets removed.

No , it's not getting fuel. I'm resoaking the carbs and prime starts for 15 hrs this time they're soaking right now. I only did about 2 hours last time
