Re: no answer on pressure in lower unit
fpctim....the pressure came from the oil being old and overheating. Sounds like it hasn't been changed in quite a while. The burnt smell of the oil says it all. The "no gear" thing is concerning. If it were me, I'd have the bearing carrier pulled and the gearcase flushed. This would also give ya' the opportunity to take a gawk at the gears and see if anything is amiss inside.<br /><br />OBJ
