They put up a fight, but they just weren't talented enough, were they?

Nope, not in the end. Held tough for 3 quarters, but the lack of size wore them out in the end. Just could not handle the bigger interior line of FSU on both side of the ball.

Should never have been in that bowl in the first place. Their poll position was basically a gift to get them in there.

Okay Mr. Negative, who should have been in the game? Remember conference tie ins, too.

Go Noles and greeting from Tallahassee! It was Kind of a blow out, I'm afraid. Hopefully, next year will be better for us and we can get back to a "real" bowl game, or playoff, or whatever they have planned for next season. If not, I'm afraid ol' Jimbo will be on the hot seat. Bobby is a tough act to follow.

Nice link Bruce. Do you realize that it says Florida v Louisville was a bad byproduct of this game? Oooppss, UL made that statement wrong.

I do agree with you that a small playoff system would alleviate a lot of this.

Just think how badly Florida would have lost to Oklahoma!

Again, the transitive property fallacy.

They may have been more "up" for a game against Oklahoma. They looked down upon UL, and didn't take them or the game seriuosly. Their attitude towards Oklahoma may have been different? We'll never know.

Another SEC bandwagon apologist. I am sure if Oregon lost last night you would repeat your legitimacy argument that Pac-12 can't win bowl games. Can't have your argument both ways.

Oregon's bowl was against an overrated Big 12 (how many teams left in there?), so it means almost next to nothing. And from the updates here on this thread, it sounds more like KSU lost the game, than Oregon won it?

Re: NIU v FSU

I have to work at night Bruce, to provide for my wife, and two young children. I have very little spare time (like now, while my 2 year old naps) to have the luxury to "watch" games so I can see how my fantasy players are doing. I see weekend games and primes time weekend games. And I have seen Oregon and Stanford play enough over the past two years to know they aren't as good as SEC teams. I di like how Stanford plays, though. Oregon, not so much.

You can think anything you want and get in any last word you want, but the facts from the BCS era don't back up your opinions. Period.
