I am down to my last quart of oil, and when I opened the bottle, the oil is greenish in color. All previous bottles had a honey colored oil in them. Oil smells the same. The bottle is of the Tohatsu Premium oil, but I have noticed that the Nissan and Tohatsu oil have always been the same color and smell before. Are the tan and green oils compatible? Is it just perhaps a change in color additive? It will be hard to find more tan oil without openning up bottles at the store. Any info would be appreciated, thanks!

It's just a dye addition...Because the original oil did not have any dye in it. It's the same oil.

It's just a dye that has been added to the oil. Most 2-stroke oils have a color additive so that you can tell by looking in your gas tank if oil has already been added. Apparently they must have had a batch go out that did not have the dye in it (the honey colored stuff you had) and now you have a bottle that actually has the green dye in it.
