Nissan overheating

I have a 1989 40hp nissan the gets a little too hot. It pee's water very well. Before I replace the impeller, do you think it could be the thermostat??

Sure could be. How hot is it getting? Do the plugs come out white from overheating? Is your oil ratio correct?

If it pees well then it is unlikely that the cooling system is at fault. Look at the power head before you do anything else.
