Nissan Outboards

I am thinking of geting either a 15hp or 18hp 4 stroke nissan outboard for my 14ft aluminium Lowes sea nymph rated for up to 25hp. <br />Does any body have experience with these motors or that brand ? Are there better choices ? I want to make sure the motors are reliable.<br /><br />Thanks

Howdy, Stu.<br /><br />The Nissans, made by Tohatsu, have an excellent reputation and are usually less expensive than other options.<br /><br />If there is a downside it is that dealer service locations are very rare.<br /><br />Red sky at night. . .<br />JB

HI STU, The motors do stand up well and have a good track record. If you go to www.nissanmarine.com, you can find a dealer with thier dealer locator.
