nissan outboard motors

I am looking at purchasing a 1990 75HP nissan outboard. I don't have any experience with this manufacture for outboards, and was wondering what the general oppinion is on the quality of these nissan outobards.<br /><br />Thanks in advance

I've never heard anyhing nnegative regarding their performance or reliability.<br /><br />The dealer network is very thin though.

Have 3 nissan trucks wife has 1 nissan car.<br />no problems.<br /><br />would expect the same from the outboard.

Hi, Eneub.<br /><br />All "Nissan" outboards are made by, and identical to, Tohatsu.<br /><br />Their (Tohatsu) reputation is superb and they dominate the commercial waterman market in many parts of of the world.<br /><br />Not many frills, just bulletproof reliability and very good pricing.
