I know water should be coming from the idle port when the boat is in the water but how about on muffs? Should there be water from the idle port when water is coming in only through the water inlet screens via muffs?

The manual says to stop the flush "if water does not exit the water stream fitting", doesn't mention the idle port.

On some engines it is a steady flow, on others a light spray. Normal is what is normal for your individual engine. Keep in mind that most of the water is blown out through the "thru hub exhaust".

OK, thanks once again. I get plenty of water thru the hub but the idle port was bone dry. I'm gonna put the boat in the water in the morning so I'll check it again then.

Plenty of water out of the idle port while in the river.
