Nissan NS50D Carb air leak?

Ahoy from North Knoxville!

Dear Gurus,

I seek your wise cousel sirs. I have a NIssan NS50D that I'm pretty sure has a carb air leak problem. (First 10 to 15 minutes it's running it's great but, then starts getting sluggish and I have to start pumping the bulb to keep going.)

I have 2 new tanks with new lines and fittings. I don't think they're the problem.

I'm assuming a carb kit (gaskets etc.) should cure me. The only one I've found online seem to be missing some gaskets. Do you folk have a source you can point me toward?

Any Nissan/Togatsu dealer should have those requested parts...First 10-15 minutes works fine at idle, fast idles while running at which throttle setting ? If need to re prime probably fuel pump diaphragm shortly will have its Waterloo Time. Check fuel pump diaphragm condition if dried, worn, severely ballooned, cracked. If so, change.

Are all 3 carbs immaculate clean and in good working order ?

Carbs should be in pretty good as there was serious service at the beginning of last year and it was only taken out about 5 times. Thanks for the fuel pump diaphragm tip!

On 2 stroke engines is better to consume all fuel leftovers on carbs, will guarantee free accumulations of oil deposits when fuel has evaporated. Flush engine on muffs for 2 min, disconnect engine fuel connector, let engine die. Will give some + minutes running time after disconnection. If fuel pump diaphragm is spot on, probably have a gummed carb ?

You may also need fuel pump bits. Either you aren't pumping well, or you are sucking air at an o-ring or similar location. Also verify that the fuel filter isn't leaking air (and isn't clogged).
