Nissan ns18 first post

Hi all,

I have a Ns 18 hp 2 stroke , on start up getting quite a bit of blue smoke it gets a little better the more I start it .
I have fresh gas @ oil . I checked all connections , plugs @ fuel filter. It takes a few times to get it started . This motor is elect start. I've had many motors overs the years , but never had this problem. The motor does run ok once I getting going. Any thoughts . M- ns18e-2. S- 98928. Can anyone recommend a Nissan tec manual.

See your local Nissan or Tohatsu dealer for a factory service manual. Chances are the engine needs a carb job.

Try running some Seafoam through it.....spraying it through the carb and putting the liquid in the gas. You might get lucky and solve the problem without cleaning/rebuilding the carb.
