Nissan Cold Start Issue

This may be a silly question but, does my Nissan 70 A2 (1988) have a choke? I have yet to figure out how the choke works. I have noticed that some of the other boats have a push down to choke feature on the idle speed control but, it doesn't seem to work on this one. What am I missing?

You push in on the ignition key.

Thank you for the tip - that's a new one to me although, I am new to the "Outboard Ways". The key choke works wonders for cold starting - it fires up immediately now.

I have another question - this one regarding the charging system. Should I be seeing a voltage increase at idle or is the system RPM dependent?

I still need to replace the water pump impeller before I can try running the motor under load.
